EMMET Plugin – “Lorem Ipsum” Generator

This little plugin that I'm currently using along with my Sublime Text editor for Window is called EMMET. It has cut in half the amount time it takes me to code HTML & CSS. It comes with a large number of coding features and shortcuts but when you combine that with a "Lorem Ipsum" generator, it makes this a great design tool. I could spend several articles explaining in detail all of EMMET's features so I'm just going to focus on the "Lorem Ipsum" Generator. What is "Lorem Ipsum?" Sass vs. SCSS: which syntax is better?

Since the creation of Sass nearly 5 years ago, it has been plagued by many levels of controversy. It billed itself as "a better CSS" and added brand new features unheard of to CSS authors such as variables, nesting and mixins. Sass also introduced an entirely different indentation-oriented syntax and a brand new perspective on how to author CSS. Expanding the Design Canvas In this approach, the design canvas extends beyond the confines of a flat screen. It recognizes that our digital environments can emulate the depth and complexity of the physical world. Just as Wright’s architecture considers the arrangement of rooms […]

Information Architecture

Information architecture is an art and a science that pulls principles of design and architecture into the digital landscape. In its simplest form, Information Architecture is tasked with developing Ecommerce taxonomies and ontologies. We do this at LMSEO by organizing and labelling ecommerce websites to optimize usability and findability for content and products. By using a data-driven approach, we to assign these products and other elements to their apropiate categories.

Search Engine Optimization

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of affecting the visibility of a website or a web page in a search engine's "natural" or un-paid ("organic") search results. In general, the earlier (or higher ranked on the search results page), and more frequently a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine's users.

Email Marketing

Email marketing is directly marketing a commercial message to a group of people using email. In its broadest sense, every email sent to a potential or current customer could be considered email marketing. It usually involves using email to send ads, request business, or solicit sales or donations, and is meant to build loyalty, trust, or brand awareness.
